Never before have I seen a school so full of caring, committed, genuine students and teachers alike. Whitehall District Schools provides a very intimate and balanced approach to teaching and learning, whether it be at Shoreline Elementary School, Ealy Elementary School, Whitehall Middle School, or Whitehall Senior High School. Academics at Whitehall are flexible, and ideal for any learning pace.
Whitehall High School offers early college enrollment, AP courses, and transportation to the Muskegon County Area Career Tech Center for juniors and seniors, making it easier for students to build a schedule and plan that fits their goals and potential. Equipped with outstanding sports and music programs, there is something for children of any age to be involved in. Whitehall Middle School has a nationally recognized Environmental Club that has gone on to win thousands of dollars in prize money for their environmental efforts, as well as started a film festival at the historic Howmet Playhouse for students to participate in. Whitehall High School's football and wrestling teams both went on to win state championships in the 2014-2015 season, and their competitive cheer team and co-ed track team won individual state titles.
If sports aren't your cup of tea, Whitehall Schools also offers theater at every level. There are spring performances of classic plays such as Alice in Wonderland put on by students of the elementary schools, a fall musical at the high school, and a student-directed play or musical/play in the spring at both middle and high school levels. In addition, Whitehall Middle School has been nationally recognized as a School to Watch, an award given to schools that show remarkable academic, social, athletic, and artistic growth. Whatever your child is looking for, Whitehall provides a suitable environment for them to reach their maximum potential.
