    Lavender Life Farms is located in Caledonia, MI. They have a beautiful farm and a spa. One of the most endearing features of Lavender Life Farms is their Xander stuffed animal line. Caledonia Lakeside Park has a few picnic shelters, a large pavilion available to rent for private parties, a few playgrounds, lots of lovely green grassy areas and all on Emmons Lake to stroll about.   • Bridge repairs will be ongoing for several weeks. In order to take care of the needed work, the 84th Street bridge at the Thornapple River will be closed. The Kent County Road Commission suggests residents detour on 68th Street and plan for work to be done by June 3, 2016.

    Spring is on its way. Here along the Thornapple River in Caledonia our beautiful national bird has come back to start sitting on the nest where they raised their young last year. We are so blessed to be here and live with such great freedoms and as we get to this Easter season we celebrate eternal freedoms.
