The Kellogg Bird Sanctuary was established by W.K. Kellogg and is a great place to go for a walk. Located just east of Gull Lake it is easy to find and has plenty of parking. One of my son's favorite things is to buy a bucket of corn and feed the birds. The walking trail is paved and very user friendly. We have been there numerous times and even my mom has been able to navigate the path after a knee replacement and walking with two canes. There are hundreds of birds to see and it is a great opportunity to teach kids about birds that they may not get to see otherwise. Some birds are brought there to rehabilitate and some become permanent residents, as they are unable to return to the wild.A family membership is $50/year.
