I've lived in Howell almost my whole life and I love it here. You might love it too! We just had our annual Melonfest and that is always a great time to get out and meet people!

Howell is a phenomenal community, conveniently located within easy drive times to locations such as Ann Arbor, Lansing, Detroit's western suburbs, and more. The county seat of Livingston County, Howell has both great shopping, from The Tanger Outlet Mall to its historic downtown and exploding growth in residential building across not only Howell proper but its adjoining townships.

The area touts parks and beaches, such as Thompson Lake, accessible to Howell residents, and the Howell Nature Center. A relaxing drive in the country is just minutes away. Other options abound for boaters, golfers, and many types of sportsmen. Feel free to check out Howell's schools. There's so much the community has to offer, making it a great choice to live!

One of the things I love about our towns in Livingston County are all the great little main streets and local shops! In Howell, one of my favorite places to visit is M Street Bakery. Located right in the heart of downtown, M Street offers everything from the unique, ever-changing milkshakes to savory, delicious pizza rolls, catering, and more. With a great little seating area and coffee, this is a great place for me to meet with clients or take my niece and nephews.

The walking tours feature many of Howell's significant or contributing homes and buildings, noting the interesting architectural features, along with a brief history of each. Come for a visit. Not only do we have the Tanger Outlet Mall for residents all over Southeast Michigan to enjoy located in our backyard in Howell, but right across the street from the mall we have Michigan's largest indoor playland and family fun center.....called Castaway Play Cafe! What a great place to take your young ones or even the young at heart. Our team member Mary Kay enjoys taking her loved ones here - quite the social outing for all!

We are so fortunate to have Tanger Outlet Center in Livingston County. It's the county's number one attraction and largest outlet shopping center. Featuring more than 75 stores offering name brand merchandise at savings up to 70% off retail, Tanger Outlet Center is a bargain hunter's paradise! It also offers five eateries and is a great shopping experience all in one location. Not to mention it offers great access to the freeway, hotels available nearby and downtown Howell is just a stone's throw away. My family and I shop the Tanger Outlets often as it is a one stop shop and close to home. It's a great day out with out of town guests.

The company derives its name from founder Stanley Tanger who opened the Burlington Manufacturer's Outlet Center in Burlington, NC, in 1981. As of 2014, there are 24 states that have a Tanger mall and to be one of two locations in the state of Michigan, I would say we are pretty lucky that they saw the potential that Howell and Livingston County have to offer.

Howell is a great place to call home! The population is just under 10,000 so it still feels like a "small town" but with the varied offerings of the area, Howell holds its own as a popular place to live and visit as well. Located along the I-96 and Grand River corridors, Howell is at the center of Livingston County so making the commute to other cities such as Ann Arbor, Detroit, Lansing is less than an hour.
Howell offers some of the best housing values in the county that includes homes and neighborhoods in all price ranges. The events here are second to none as well! Howell is home to the Fantasy of Lights parade the evening after Thanksgiving each year delighting the residents with lighted Christmas themed floats! The end of the growing season brings the annual Howell Melon festival celebrating the fruit of the local farmers labor! This full weekend event comes complete with its own parade, special events, balloon rides and, of course, fabulous melon ice cream.
