This annual event showcases the country's greatest hot rods! All weekend long guests get to experience the vast variety of custom cars, live performances, and special guests. Nearly 150K people attend the Detroit Autorama each year, more than any other city by a far! There's a student career day, which gives high school and college level students the opportunity to learn more about automotive engineering, design, and manufacturing. You also get to see this years showcased vehicles that have won the Ridler Award and Legend Cup! Finally, you get to browse various contractors and vendors booths for auto projects of your own. Whether you want to have your vehicle showcased in the show, gain some information, or just be a part of the excitement, the Autorama is a car lovers dream!

On November 20th, Campus Martius Park will host Detroit's Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony! Tons will gather to see the locally grown, 60 foot tree illuminated for the 12th year! There are also lots of other events held throughout the holidays at Campus Martius Park including their skating rink and the famous Thanksgiving Parade/Turkey Trot through downtown Detroit!

From late November throughout December, the Detroit Zoo hosts this popular holiday event! Five million LED lights cover everything from buildings to trees and there are over 100 illuminated animals! This event often sells out, so many families will purchase their tickets in advance.

Other than the amazing assortment of lights, there is also live entertainment, special events, and some animals of course! For an additional charge you can also purchase tickets for "The Polar Express 4-D Experience", "Ice Age-the Ride", the Polar Plunge snow slide, carousel rides and photos with Santa Claus. This event is great for all ages!

Slow's Barbeque is one of the best BBQ places around! They're so well-known for their amazing food that they've actually been featured on the Food Network! This beautiful restaurant is covered floor to ceiling with reclaimed wood while integrating other reclaimed items in their logo, bar, and beams. All this character makes for an amazing atmosphere to enjoy their delicious cuisine! There are all sorts of things to try whether it's their wood-smoked meats to their unique homemade sides, to their famous BBQ wings. Everything is delicious and will keep you coming back!

Comerica Park is Detroit's most attractive ballpark. Home to the Detroit Tigers, this stadium can hold over 40,000 fans and has a lot of fun stuff to offer! Within the park alone you'll find a carousel, ferris wheel, baseball-themed games, restaurants, bars, a wall of fame, and a huge variety of concessions. The best part is that just about everything in the stadium is of course, Tigers themed! This is a great place to visit with your family and friends. There are lots of things to do even when you're not watching the game and if you come in on select Fridays and Saturdays there is a fireworks show right on the field!

Detroit is also known as Hockeytown USA! We take our hockey seriously here! The Joe Louis Arena is alive with excitement on game night and you can feel the energy all throughout downtown. With our 11 time winners of the Stanley Cup, Red Wings jerseys are practically considered formal wear at surrounding restaurants. I like the Roma Cafe where you can leave your car and take a shuttle to the game!

Detroit is home to Comerica Park, a true gem in ball park design. Clear sight lines across the park give unobstructed views of game play. Luxury sky boxes, restaurants, bars, shops and even a Ferris Wheel are all a part of this ball park! You can feel the excitement in the air when you are there, see the Walk of Fame as you make your way to your seats. If you get there early enough, your kids get to run the bases. On weekends, there is a fireworks display in center field after the game.
