My daughter, Kacey, is from Clio, but attends Flushing High School. She is a 4 year varsity starter and senior captain. In her second game of the season playing at Clio, she tore her ACL and meniscus in the second quarter. She was having the best game of her high school career. Fast forward to Friday night's District Championship, coincidentally against Clio. With 23 seconds left and the game decided after a hard fought battle, this kind act of sportsmanship took place. I never thought I would see Kacey in a uniform and on the court again. This was a forever memorable moment for Kacey and our entire family. Thank you, Coach Ken Gunther, the Clio coaching staff and all the girls on the Clio basketball team. Thank you to the Flushing coaching staff to allow the home crowd, our friends in Clio and our family see Kacey on the court one last time.
