Frankfort Beach is a quaint beach along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. The public beach in Frankfort offers parking, however very limited, a playground, benches, and walkway to the pier. The pier will lead you to Frankfort North Breakwater Lighthouse, first lit in 1932. Visitors can walk out on the pier to the lighthouse, fish, or just enjoy the incredible views of Lake Michigan. Even if you don't make it down the pier, you'll still enjoy the amazing views of the lighthouse against the deep blue shades of Lake Michigan while digging your toes into the sand.

After your day at the beach, you'll want to be sure to check out the small downtown area. Great things come in small packages. If ice cream, fudge, and chocolates don't do the trick you will find all kinds of unique stores. From jewelry to art and of course good food! The Nature Conservancy has expounded on this even further, creating numerous walking trails through the woods up and down the coastline.
