The Howard Christensen Nature Center, situated on 135 acres of natural ecosystems in Northern Kent County, serves as a sanctuary for a diverse range of flora and fauna. The center features a variety of trails for hikers and campers, as well as community-based programs. Each year, thousands of visitors participate in our adult and children's programs and explore their walkable trails, which traverse a wide range of habitats.

HCNC's primary goal is to cultivate respect and appreciation for the natural world, promote environmental awareness, and encourage individuals to take responsibility for preserving Earth's ecology. Donations help them maintain the Michigan forest and trail systems and offer community programming that is accessible to all, regardless of their ability to pay.
