Covert Township Park sits on 50 acres of woods and ¼ mile of sandy beach on Lake Michigan. The width of the beach is small (about 125 feet) compared to several other beaches along Lake Michigan in Berrien County. There is a clear path to the stairs that lead to the beach. The parking lot was a good size but there was a parking fee.

There are also picnic tables and grills. Restrooms are rustic (porta-johns) but in good shape. This park has its own campground that has 62 campsites and a seasonal store and a carry-in boat launch for kayaks and canoes. The park is officially opened from May-October. The last time I stopped by it was the end of April and no one else was around. They have a great map of the campground and day use area.
