Baroda has an annual Support Our Troops Festival at the end of July. This family friendly event started in 2010. The proceeds are for a nonprofit mission to raise funds honoring American Service Men and Women along with their families. The programs they sponsor with the proceeds is the DAV and service dogs for disabled vets, as well as many other programs that provide services for Vets. This all day event includes a parade, car show, award ceremonies to honor veterans, raffles, live music through the whole event, food vendors of all kinds and in the past helicopter rides. Evening events include a spectacular fireworks display and a dance. The fun is held at the Baroda American Legion in downtown Baroda. The kids enjoy a fun filled day at the carnival. The Motorcycle Run brings in a lot of money each year for the veterans. The festival is a great way to spend the day with your family while helping others.

Baroda has an annual fireworks display every July 3rd at the Baroda American Legion Field in downtown Baroda, and is sponsored by the Baroda Fire Department every year. They work hard to pull off this awesome event every year which includes a pre -fireworks cookout and live music. Thousands of people attend this event every year; I suggest that you come early to save your spot for the fireworks. If you enjoy yourself, please donate when The Baroda Fire Department passes a boot around to help cover expenses.

Baroda is a great southwest Michigan community to live in or a wonderful area for that next family trip to Southwest Michigan.

Baroda is made up of both a township and village. This rural area is home to many farms, orchards and various wineries. Baroda is covered by three school districts; River Valley School District, Lakeshore Public Schools and Bridgman Public Schools. Features a 14 Acre lake called Hess Lake, where the Township of Baroda built a beautiful lakefront park with a beach and boat launch on the west side of the lake. There are great homes around this lake and when for sale they do not last long the market.

Baroda is known for its family friendly activities. The Baroda Village Park hosts free concerts during the summer called Music in the Park. The Baroda American Legion co-sponsors both The Baroda Fireworks celebration with the Fire Department and a Support Our Troops Festival in July and are well known to us who live here locally to be the best in the region not to be missed.

Music in the Park is a series of free concerts held on the 4th Sunday of each month June thru August. Baroda Village Park is the host of this concert which starts at 6:00 p.m. These events are very casual and everyone is asked to bring their own chairs or blankets. Food venders are present for those wanting food and beverage, or you are welcome to bring their own picnic goodies to share with family and friends. This free event is a great way to spend a quiet Sunday evening with family and friends. The park is located along the Hickory Creek and has a great playground to keep the kids entertained and happy. You do not need to look any further then this event to see where Baroda got its motto "Casual Country Charm".
