I've lived in Goodrich for 25 years and there aren't many other places I'd rather live in. It's a close-knit, small-town that has grown quite a bit over the last several years, yet has still kept the small-town feel. One of my favorite places is the Pinnacle Point hiking trail up Hegel Road. It's beautiful in the fall, and from here at night you can see the lights in downtown Flint.

You can't beat Wiles sweet corn in August. No matter where I am, it is always worth the drive to the farm to get the corn. A new hop farm is off Ridge Road also - Top Hops Farm! They are known across the nation for their hops. In the summer, they have an open house with food, drinks, music, and tractor rides through the hops. It's such an awesome place if you've never been. Cranberries is an amazing restaurant owned by a local family - you can't go wrong here. Goodrich has so much to offer!

I have lived in Genesee County for the last 20 or so years, and while I have loved the communities I resided in, the Village of Goodrich (as my current home) has a special place in my heart. Goodrich offers a small town/village atmosphere not often found in today's busy world. Noted as being the furthest community south on M-15 in Genesee County, Goodrich is considered the gateway to Oakland County and is ideally situated for a commute south. Offering an award winning school district, quaint downtown shopping, and much more, Goodrich is the place to be. When visiting Goodrich, make a point to check out our downtown business district. It's a great place for a bite to eat or leisurely shopping!

Lake Shinanguag is the largest body of water in the Goodrich area. It is approximately 238 acres. This private lake is reserved for use by property owners only and offers no public access at the present time. Lake Shianguag is the summer hot spot in Goodrich! On any given summer day you'll find families out on the water boating (all motors allowed), jet skiing, wakeboarding, swimming and fishing. In the winter the lake is awash with ice shanties and snowmobiles. Lake Shinanguag is a hidden gem!
