Out in west central St Joseph County, Michigan is a city that covers around six miles called Three Rivers. Three rivers come together with the city. Portage River, Rocky River and the mighty St. Joseph River. If you like history the downtown area has a lot of turn-of-the-century buildings that are listed on the National Historical Register. One of the buildings is a Carnegie Library that is now the Carnegie Center for the Arts. Three Rivers has its own school system with one high school, one middle school and four elementary schools. There are a lot of vacation homes in and around the lakes.

Outdoor fun is all around. Hidden Marsh Sanctuary Nature Preserve is located in Three Rivers along with quite a few lakes in the area to enjoy. These lakes include Corey Lake with 630 acres,
Pleasant Lake with 262 acres, Clear Lake with 240 acres, Long Lake, Three Rivers with 211 acres, Kaiser Lake with 67 acres, Mud Lake with 60 acres, and Little Pleasant Lake with 29 acres.

If you are in the area you need to checkout a couple of the Three Rivers city parks. Scidmore Park Petting Zoo is an 18 acre park and is a great place to spend the day with your kids. Memory Isle Park is a 14 acre park that has three bridges connecting to the isle and a skate park. I came across a map of the city parks.
