    This beach offers a sandy beachfront as well as basketball courts, a picnic area with plenty of picnic tables and pavilions. You'll also find a playground for the kids, restrooms, and a boat launch! It is located on NW Torch Lake at 12201 Pub Dock Road, Kewadin, MI 49648.

    Torch Lake Sandbar, named after a local Native American tribe who would use torches to attract fish at night, is one of the best and most beautiful sandbars in the United States, and is Michigans second largest inland lake at nearly 19,000 acres with a maximum depth of 285 feet. Known for it's crystal clear turquoise waters, white sandbars, and summer parties, the lake is perfect for water skiing, boating, and fishing. If you're interested in renting a boat, there are several places that offer really nice pontoons for very reasonable prices. Several famous Michiganders have homes on Torch Lake, including Kid Rock, Michael Moore, and Eminem. You'll have no problem accessing the sandbar from one of several road ending accesses on Crystal Beach Road at the south end of the lake. 50 yards west of the bridge, across from Ace Hardware, it's 200 to 300 yards out to the sandbar.

    Just a short drive from Traverse City, two hours from Grand Rapids and four from Detroit. Torch Lake is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the U.S., and for very good reason.
