The Cedar River is a hidden gem tucked away of the heart of Leelanau County in downtown Cedar. If you're looking for a back to nature experience then kayaking the Cedar River, aka Victoria Creek, is a must-do. This slow-flowing river goes from the Village of Cedar out to Lake Leelanau. Currently, it's accessible only by kayak or pontoon boat due to its shallow depth. But a local group is working to improve the river and boat launch to accommodate other boaters.
