Craig Lively

Typically, I am a Five Star Reviewer. Sadly, we had a very negative experience with Craig Lively. He was in the role as double agent for us. There were two issues with the house that were not listed in the seller’s disclosure. The electricity to the barn had been disconnected and redirected to another outbuilding. We had been assured the barn electricity worked. Turns out It could only be repaired by adding a much larger box to the house, because the original one was not in code as it was, costing us thousands of dollars.Worst of all, he never disclosed in writing the amount of soil that had been removed from the pastures. He made a passing comment saying, “a neighbor had removed top soul the amount of a garden bed.” He assured me that the person clearing the property left a few inches that could support the growing of grass.It turns out all the fields were cleared of top soil. Every inch was gone, only dust and rocks left. The owner of the house was incredibly nice and she right away agreed to financially help with the soil costs. We asked Craig do do the same and we’d cover 1/3 of the cost as well. Not only did he refuse, but he did so rudely. He cut off contact with me and he has not tried to reach out to me since or replied to my calls and texts.We feel he did not fairly represent both of us in this transaction. He refused to even ask the owner to fix anything after the inspection and when we closed, he left the keys at the property and the house unlocked. Who does that?I’ve purchased and sold over 20 properties in my life. I have never had these kinds of issues before this. I’ve given every realtor a 5 star review before now. Craig is also the broker. He made a lot of money on this deal and refused to take any responsibility for these major issues. He stated that we had not done OUR due diligence even though we offered to mow the fields before closing so we could see them because the weeds were five feet high. The Selling of ALL topsoil should have been disclosed in writing. There is no way he even cared about us as his clients. We do not recommend Craig Lively as a realtor.

Craig did an outstanding job listing my home. He is great at making suggestions to improve the home to get a higher price. Graig is very personable and easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond to make this a smooth transition for me. If you are selling your home this is the guy you've been looking for.
